26 March 2011 is the date of the SNCT AGM to be held at Wappenshall. The day starts with a walk along the Trench Arm at 9:30 am, to see the unique guillotine locks. But if that is a bit strenuous for you, just come along between 11:30 and 12 noon for tea/coffee and biscuits. Then the AGM starts at 12 until 1 pm when we break for lunch, when there is a chance to look round Wappenshall and see the Trust's display. After lunch at 2 pm there is a presentation by Tony Hirst entitled "Canals are not just for boats" and those that know Tony assure me this will be very interesting and informative. Afterwards there will be tea and biscuits. So why not come along and learn something about this wonderful canal that will, eventually, come to Withington.
