St John’s Church post-Christmas update

Despite the desperately cold weather all the Christmas services went ahead as planned with good congregations. It was a shame that David was snowed in and couldn’t make it to the Carol Service, but Marion stepped up to the pulpit at the last minute and did a great job.

The Christmas Fayre was a great success, thanks to everyone that helped, came along or just bought raffle tickets. Carol Singing around the Tree became Carol Singing around the Brazier on a bitterly cold night, it was a shame that the Salvation Army had to cancel due to the road conditions but it was still a good evening. Hopefully they will be at the Summer Fete instead… weather permitting!
Thanks to Brenda & Jon Scutt for preparing this update
